It is officially my favorite time of the year, perfect for baking, cooking and sharing with friends and family. If you haven’t noticed, I have been quite smitten with donuts lately, maybe it’s because it took me forever to get a donut pan or because of all the different combinations that can be made into these delicious clouds of yumminess.
I promise to post a savory, non donut related recipe next, but for now, bask in these scrumptious pumpkin donuts with the ohh so ahh-mazing cinnamon (almond) butter glaze.

Affogato in Italian literally means “drowned”. This delicious treat is a creamy cool scoop of vanilla ice cream, drowned in espresso. It has the perfect contrast between the hot and bitter coffee, with the cold and sweet ice cream.
You can also explore with different combinations of ice cream such as dulce de leche, chocolate and even coffee flavored ice cream. So go ahead, be creative with your affogato and enjoy it with your own special spin to it. Maybe even adding your favorite coffee liquor? Now that’s a party!
1 large scoop of vanilla (or your preferred) ice cream
1 cup of espresso

Weekend mornings were made for lingering over a long breakfast and slowly sipping on a large cappuccino. This Blueberry French Toast is perfect for just that, simply enjoying.
Blueberries are delicious, but they are only in season from May to late summer and can rarely be found in a grocery store during the fall and winter months. This blueberry bread can be found year round, which means that we can enjoy these heartwarming Blueberry French Toast whenever we want.

Two words, donut perfection. Im not saying my donuts are perfect, but donuts are simply the perfect treat. You will be sad you didn’t have this donut recipe sooner. And you should probably go out and buy a donut pan, ASAP. These donuts are baked, not fried and this recipe doesn’t require you to bring out your heavy stand mixer, which pretty much makes this the best thing ever.
It’s fascinating how simple it is to make these Brown Butter Cake Donuts, and with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. After making these classic chocolate and sprinkle donuts, it got me thinking of the many mouthwatering combinations I should create. And not to mention all of the fabulous fall flavored donuts. So stay tuned my friends, this is just the beginning of Dannivee’s Donuts.

Where I live we only get about a month of chilly fall weather, but fall happens to be my favorite season of them all. I look forward to this beautiful season all year long so that I can bake with the warm, aromatic fall flavors such as apples, pumpkins, and the beautiful couple, our friends- cinnamon and nutmeg. I plan on driving up to Gainesville (my beautiful alma mater town) to check off a few of these items, including #3 & #4 because there is nothing more fall-tastic than a scenic drive and the very delightful, crisp autumn air. Oh and did I mention Thanksgiving? (aka a Food Bloggers favorite holiday).
